What is NAFIS Winter Retreat?

NAFIS Winter Retreat is an opportunity for you to step away from your daily distractions and refocus on spiritual growth, reflection, and community. Together, we engage in meaningful lectures, guided discussions, and group reflections aimed at deepening our connection with our Almighty God and strengthening our sense of purpose.

The different programs include activities that nurture the heard, mind, and body. From morning remembrance of God, to sports activities by the beach, to family-oriented gatherings and recreational events.

This retreat offers a well-balanced blend of learning, relaxation, and uplifting fellowship.

How can I benefit MOST from this retreat?
1-Register between Oct 15-Nov 15 to get the discounted coupon validated

2-Book Your Hotel Room asap using the hotel flyers on our website. It is usually SOLD OUT very quickly!

3-Use the “Get Involved” link to sign up yourself and your family in the Quran challenge, Youth Prayer Challenge, Social Media Challenge, and Closing Night Performance. Use the volunteer sign up to reap more reward, then engage in all spiritual, educational and entertainment programs to build real friendships and develop impactful memories!

4-Attend all retreat events outlined in the different program and invite your family and friends to do so as well.

When does the NAFIS winter retreat start and end?
It starts officially on December 24th and ends December 28th

Can we book our hotel room with the discounted rate if we come before the retreat starts and/or stay after it ends?
Yes. You can as long as it is within the discounted rate dates, which is:

Saturday, December 20th, 2025 - Wednesday, January 1st, 2026.

Is NAFIS Winter Retreat registration required? Yes, always.

Can we still participate in NAFIS programs if we are not registered for the retreat?
No, however, you may still benefit from the hotel's discounted rate, pools, restaurant halal food, and participate in all congregational prayers throughout the retreat in Expo ABC.

What if we never register?

Unfortunately, you and your family will not benefit from the retreat programs.

Can I register on-site?
Yes, but you will not be able to sign up for any challenges nor participate in the closing night performances. You will also lose the registration discount ($5/ticket) valid only October 15th to November 15th.

Why should everyone register?
Kids 0-4 years old are offered free registration. All other age groups should register to benefit from the distinct programs offered throughout the retreat. Please visit the programs’ webpage to discover what NAFIS offers for every age group.

How can I best register?
Please read the different flyers in the home page. One can register their family using one registration form. It is easy and it should take a couple of minutes.

If I register on Dec. 24th, can I still participate in the different activities and challenges? Yes, you can participate in all activities, but unfortunately, the deadline for the Quran challenge sign-up is November 15th, and for all sign-ups is December 15th, 2025.
